While the World Cuts Trees, Let’s Plant Hope
This time of year carries strong symbolism.
In many parts of the world, millions of trees are cut down for Christmas and New Year celebrations — for decorations, firewood, and temporary use. Most of these trees are discarded within weeks.
While celebrating life and renewal, we unintentionally accelerate the loss of what sustains it.
What if, instead, we chose to do the opposite?

Madagascar: A Fragile Treasure at Risk
Madagascar is one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. Many of its plants and animals exist nowhere else. Yet over 40% of its forests have already been lost, mainly due to slash-and-burn agriculture, charcoal production, and poverty-driven land use.
When forests disappear in Madagascar, the loss is permanent — not only for the country, but for the planet.
From Consumption to Regeneration
This holiday season, Green Universe invites a different tradition.
Instead of cutting a tree, plant one.
Instead of a short-lived decoration, create a living legacy.
Our Madagascar project focuses on planting and protecting trees in critical regions, giving trees long-term value through adoption and stewardship, supporting local communities with sustainable alternatives, and restoring ecosystems — not just planting numbers.
Each tree planted helps absorb carbon, protect biodiversity, and support people who depend on healthy land.
A New Kind of Celebration
Planting a tree is more than a gesture. It is a statement.
It says that we value the future, understand our responsibility, and choose regeneration over depletion.
If millions of people can cut trees for a celebration, imagine the impact if millions chose to plant one instead.
Green Universe: Turning Intention into Impact
Green Universe connects people worldwide with real trees on the ground in Madagascar. Each tree represents care, continuity, and hope.
This season, while lights shine and celebrations unfold, let something grow quietly — something that will outlast the holidays and help restore balance to our planet.
Because the best gift we can give the Earth
is the chance to heal.
